Vetiver Essential Oil

Vetiver essential Oil is a dark golden-brown colour and has a thick consistency. It has a spicy, woody aroma and is used as a base note in aromatherapy blends.

Primary Uses:

Soothes acne, vitiligo, and dry skin; rejuvenate aching muscles and sor feet; alleviates pain caused by tendinitis, joint stiffness, menstrual cramps and muscular dsytrophy; reduces attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms.

When used in aromatherapy or for meditation, vetiver essential oil can combat absentmindedness, allevaite depression, and provide an overall sense of calmness.

Vetiver Essential Oil Safety

• Do not take Vetiver Essential Oil internally. Essential Oils are highly concentrated, powerful oils. They can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise; for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended for the general public.
• Keep essential oils out of reach of children and pets. Vetiver Essential Oil has been shown to be particularly harmful to pets; for this reason, we advise against using it around animals.
• Avoid using Vetiver Essential Oil during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
• To avoid possible skin sensitivity, dilute before topical application.

Properties:

Amalgesic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, cell proliferant, depurative, rubeafacient, tonic, stimulant, sedative.

Application:

Vetiver Essential oil may be applied neat; however, it is thick and may be easier to use if diluted 50:50 in a carrier oil. It is suitable for direct inhalation, diffusion, topical application and ingestion.
